  Parish Music Program

Music ministry, a vibrant part of the worship and congregational life of St. Martin's, is led by Timothy E. Smith who plans the music for all of our liturgies and conducts the Chancel Choir and St. Martin's Ringers. Tim presides at the organ for services, and he directs Saint Martin's Music It takes the participation and enthusiasm of many to create the magic and beauty of music that warms and inspires our worship services. No matter what your musical background, there is a place for you; the music ministry needs and wants your participation. Reach Tim by email at  music@stmartinsonline.org or by phone at the church:  410.263.4723, extension 13. Or, stop by the console after the postlude any Sunday!

Saint Martin's Music

Saint Martin's Music presents concerts in a full season of great music, featuring our excellent acoustics and outstanding pipe organ. Choral music is offered regularly, allowing our choir to unite with other ensembles to perform great choral works, The events are attended by people of all faiths from the greater Annapolis area and beyond.  Click here to see upcoming concerts

Chancel Choir

Our choir of twenty voices explores five centuries of great sacred repertoire. Gathering for a common purpose unites our singers into a close-knit community of faith and joy. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. We meet on Sundays at 9:15 to prepare for 10:00 worship. The choir's membership includes folks who read music and others who do not read music. We all love to sing, and enjoy the process of learning new pieces. Our choir leads the musical portions of the liturgy, celebrating the rich tradition of Lutheran music.

St. Martin's Ringers

Ringing handbells is a focused group activity! Musicians are interconnected by sharing notes in the scale, playing two to six bells. We have four octaves of Schulmerich handbells, allowing us to play a wide variety of music. Our bell choir gathers for five-week sessions, which end when we play in church for worship. After a few weeks, we reorganize--some ringers remain, some cannot be present, while others join in. Rehearsals are Wednesdays 6:15-7:15
